Apache server timeout problem during downloading Apache Camel
Problem!!!
I haven't been able to download Apache Camel trunk from svn repository
despite trying it several times on different days. I get the following
error:
svn co http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/camel/trunk camel-trunk
svn: REPORT of '/repos/asf/!svn/vcc/default': timed out waiting for server
(http://svn.apache.org)
Could somebody help me fix this? As a note, I do not have any (such)
problem with downloading ActiveMQ trunk from Apache svn repository.

svn version on my machine is 1.6.3. May be this is the reason. Let me try
the mirror before I move on to git.

I've seen this happen more frequently with mismatched versions of SVN's
server and client. The camel repo is running 1.6.6, what version is your
client?
In a pinch you could always grab the source from the git mirror
http://git.apache.org/
or from github
http://github.com/apache/camel
Git has some definite advantages if you intend to make changes to the code
as you can track your changes with local commits.

Works fine for me. Just tried now.
It could be your internet connectivity or whatever. I sit in Europe/Sweden.
There should also be an EU mirror of the SVN server
I think its just svn.eu.apache.org
