Mailinglist Moderators

I am curious if we have moderators on our mailinglists and who they are?
Any ideas how to find out?

Is everybody happy with the moderators list? We have at least 2 on
each list so that should be fine with infra.

If you are, I will open an infra ticket tomorrow. If not, add your
modifications to the proposal, or forever hold your peace.

Re: Mailinglist Moderators

Posted by Ivan Habunek <iv...@gmail.com>.
Here's the current situation with moderators:

log4cxx-dev
carnold at apache dot org

log4cxx-user
carnold at apache dot org

log4j-dev
carnold at apache dot org
grobmeier at gmail dot com

log4j-user
carnold at apache dot org
grobmeier at gmail dot com

log4net-dev
carnold at apache dot org
nicko at neoworks dot com

log4net-user
carnold at apache dot org
nicko at neoworks dot com

log4php-dev
carnold at apache dot org
sdeboy at comotivsystems dot com

log4php-user
carnold at apache dot org
log4php at vxr dot it

Now, some of these are out of date, I have created a file in the PMC repo:
https://svn.apache.org/repos/private/pmc/logging/mailing-lists.txt

Please check it out and add your email to lists which you wish to
moderate. Once we're in agreement, I'll sumbit a ticket to infra.

Regards,
Ivan

I'm not sure if commits@ would need moderation. All replies should be directed to general@

Thanks Ivan.

I am willing to look on the cxx lists as they seem to be abandoned.

There is a commits@l.a.o list or so... we should ask for that too

Cheers

I think the list is complete. Please add me for both log4net lists.

Darn. I don't think I'm even subscribed to log4j-user. I guess I better do that!

Maybe we should see who mods are on all sub-project lists. Apart from
general and private, I know of the following lists:
log4j-user
log4j-dev
log4cxx-user
log4cxx-dev
log4net-user
log4net-dev
log4php-user
log4php-dev

Am I missing anything? I don't want to bug infra more than necessary. :)

Ivan

Sign me up, and also for log4net-dev as the situation likely isn't
better there either.

Are you going to coordinate/consolidate the infra request?

I'll volunteer for both. I think it would be good to have at least one more too.

I asked infra on IRC, the soulution is to ask one of them. I asked:

general@logging:
- carnold at apache

private@logging:
- carnold at apache
- scott.deboy at gmail

They noted that we should have at least 2 mods for each list.

So, who wants to be mod? :-)
