   * I know, `autopurge` should be configured, but if I choose between dataDir bloat and potential high disk io I choose enabled `autopurge` by default 
   * I'm not sure: `/var/lib/{pkg}` is canonical path for distribution, if there is a better place then let's choose it (but it must be persistent). 
   
   About Windows. As far as I know at the moment in Windows there is no folder `/tmp`, default Windows temporary folder is `C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp`
