Hi,

do we really want to wait OWB 1.1.7?

+ (currently fixing it) a huge bug in Producers.

So definitely worth waiting a bit. We should fix it this week and then I'm fine to do a release.

Main fixes are (at least from my point of view):
1) better management of generics (@Inject private Foo<Bar>)
2) default bean names (@Named without param)
3) @Typed badly managed for beans using generics
4) (the big one) decorator can't call twice the delegate

They sound like good fixes that would be great to get in. My view is that if its coming soon (<= a week) it's probably worth waiting for. Otherwise we could go for a release now, and roll another when OWB 1.1.7 is out. I don't see any harm in more regular releases and I'm happy to roll the releases or he out in other way if that helps. Its been nearly 2 months since the last release, so we're probably due the next one.

I had a look at OWB's mailing list archive - I didn't spot any chatter about a release, but I may have missed it. Had their release process started?

+1, what is so important we cannot afford?
No idea of when, but our users are waiting for a long time.

If we always wait for something, we will never get more frequent releases
out.
Just my thoughts.

I even prefer more frequent releases when necessary that always waiting to
have a perfect release (which never occurs actually).

I'm sure you're correct. Out of curiosity, when will OWB 1.1.7 be out and what are the benefits?
