External DTD comments are placed in the document
Summary: External DTD comments are placed in the document
Product: Xerces2-J
Version: 2.0.0
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: DOM
AssignedTo: xerces-j-dev@xml.apache.org
ReportedBy: jhunter@apache.org
In testing Xerces 2.0, I discovered that if an external DTD subset has comments
they are now included in the resulting DOM document, before the root. This
wasn't the case with earlier Xerces versions. I'm not sure it's exactly
illegal for Xerces to behave in this way, but it's probably unwanted by most
people.
