[VOTE] Apache Chemistry OpenCMIS 0.8.0 (RC2)

Hi fellow Chemists,

I fixed the issues Florian reported that blocked RC1
(CMIS-589<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CMIS-589>and
CMIS-590 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CMIS-590>), so OpenCMIS
0.8.0-RC2 is ready for voting.

You can find the commodity packages release candidate artifacts (for
distribution at apache.org/dist) at: http://people.apache.org/~gabriele/
chemistry/opencmis/0.8.0-RC2/<http://people.apache.org/%7Egabriele/chemistry/opencmis/0.8.0-RC1/>
. Bridge is now in there and linked from the website.

The full set of Maven artifacts (for distribution at repository.apache.org and
Maven Central) is staged at:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachechemistry-132/

Sources tag can be found at:
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/chemistry/opencmis/tags/chemistry-opencmis-0.8.0-RC2/

Maven generated javadoc/test reports are deployed at svn.apache.org (and
modifiable via CMS). They are being staged at http://chemistry
.staging.apache.org/java/0.8.0/maven/

I also updated (but not published) the site so that you can review the
correctness of updated index and download page at: http://chemistry
.staging.apache.org/java/opencmis.html
(please abstain from pushing the site to prod, I will do that when the vote
is completed).

For detailed release notes check
Jira<https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CMIS/fixforversion/12320775>(unresolved
issues will be pushed to the next
release)

You can find a guide to testing staged releases at:
http://maven.apache.org/guides/development/guide-testing-releases.html.

The vote is open for 72 hours and passes if a majority of at least three +1
Chemistry PMC votes are cast.

Please cast your votes!

[ ] +1 Release this package as Apache Chemistry OpenCMIS 0.8.0
[ ] -1 Do not release this package because...

And let's hope this is the right one ;)

Ciao,
Gab

Thanks for spotting that Florian. Nevertheless I think the vote should go
on anyway.

Just to make this clear to everyone: the files in /dist are simply a wget
copy of the files in

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachechemistry-132/

done via the script

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/chemistry/opencmis/trunk/chemistry-opencmis-dist/release-scripts/deploy-dist.sh

Therefore, since those files are present in the original Maven release, I
don't need to run a new full release and I can just wget those files from
the Maven repository (and fix the script in trunk). I just did that (and
fixed the script in trunk) so IMHO we can technically keep on with the vote.

@Florian: I believe in order for the vote to succeed, I will need you to
explicitly agree and revert your -1.

Agreed?

Thanks,

Gab

Re: [VOTE] Apache Chemistry OpenCMIS 0.8.0 (RC2)

Posted by Gabriele Columbro <co...@gmail.com>.
Thanks for spotting that Florian. Nevertheless I think the vote should go
on anyway.

Just to make this clear to everyone: the files in /dist are simply a wget
copy of the files in

https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachechemistry-132/

done via the script

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/chemistry/opencmis/trunk/chemistry-opencmis-dist/release-scripts/deploy-dist.sh

Therefore, since those files are present in the original Maven release, I
don't need to run a new full release and I can just wget those files from
the Maven repository (and fix the script in trunk). I just did that (and
fixed the script in trunk) so IMHO we can technically keep on with the vote.

@Florian: I believe in order for the vote to succeed, I will need you to
explicitly agree and revert your -1.

Agreed?

Thanks,

Gab

Re: Date extraction

Posted by Florian Müller <fm...@apache.org>.
 Hi Vincet,

There are no aggregation or grouping functions in the CMIS query
 language.
All you can do is to perform a query for each months with a page size
of 1 and then check if you get results back.

Date extraction

Posted by Tison Vincent <Ti...@cg62.fr>.
Hello !!

Is there a way to write a query to get a distinct of all the dates of modification of the documents in a node ?

The results would be something like this :
 April 2011
 December 2011
 January 2012
 March 2012
 August 2012

I would click on the date afterwards and search the documents within that time range through a "*" search.

Thanks for the help !

Vincent

Re: [VOTE] Apache Chemistry OpenCMIS 0.8.0 (RC2)

Some files are missing. Each package must have 6 files:

 - <package>
 - <package>.md5
 - <package>.sha1
 - <package>.asc
 - <package>.asc.md5
 - <package>.asc.sha1

Most packages are complete, but a few are lacking files.

 Sorry Gab!
