Woonsan Ko commented on JS2-618:
--------------------------------

Special thanks for your patch.

In my opinion, the version of spring framework 2.0 should be put in 'pom.xml', and it is better that the 'core-build.xml' remains with ${spring.version}. The version of spring2 in the 'pom.xml' need to be modified to '2.0', instead of '2.0-m2'.

In my viewpoint, there was an important issue with spring-2.0-m4 or earlier.
In those versions, we cannot set multiple properties to dynamic script beans, such as groovy beans. This problem was fixed in spring-2.0-m5 or later.

Thanks again.

Would like to apply this patch to the 2.1-dev TRUNK.
Unfortunately, its not a patch, but the entire files.
I am going to have to review all the source code, and apply patches by hand.
Additionally, this is 2.0 code, not 2.1-dev, makes it that much more error-prone.
You don' t happen to have a SVN patch handy against the 2.1-dev trunk?

Hi all,

I have applied the changes to the 2.1-dev TRUNK and I have uploaded the patch file too.

Notes:

- You must install the files spring-2.0.jar and spring-modules-ojb-0.6.0.jar in your Maven local repositories (Maven 1.x and/or Maven 2)
- I have had to comment the DdlUtils dependency because I haven't found the jar.
- I haven't tested these patches in a portal, I have only checked that the project compiles successfully. I have only tested them in the release 2.0.

Best regards.

On the other hand, I have updated to the latest 2.1-dev/trunk, I will review it and I will try to prepare a patch for the 2.1-dev as soon as possible.

The modules are in the Spring Modules sub-project. You can download it from https://springmodules.dev.java.net/. I have compiled the J2 sources with the release 0.6 of Spring Modules, but the new release 0.7 has been upgraded their Spring dependency to 2.0.1. Note that you only need to put the jar spring-modules-ojb.jar in your Maven (or Maven2) local repository.

On the other hand, you have a Spring Maven2 repository at https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/springframework/repos/repo/ and at http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven2/. For Spring Modules, you can find a Maven2 repository at http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/pub/mirrors/maven2/ (updated only up to the release 0.6).

Hi all,

Rebuilding the Jetspeed2 sources I have seen that the OJBHelper class needs to be patched too. I have attached the patch for this class.

Best regards.

Hi Enrique,

Probably I can answer you question on behalf of David.
Here's Ate Douma's answer to my former question:

"""
It is as simple as running something like:
   svn diff > patch-JS2-618.txt
from your jetspeed-2 root folder.
svn will recursively process every file itself for you.
Then, just upload the patch-JS2-618.txt file and I'll take care of the rest :)
"""

Actually, the 'patch' command will take care of your patch, regardless of David's preferences. It's very powerful!
