   Did you follow the instructions for Conda or for pip? If it was pip, you may have missed this step:
   
   ```bash
   export ARROW_HOME=$(pwd)/dist
   export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$(pwd)/dist/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
   ```
