Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: AXIS-1532
Summary: NodeImpl#setValue() does not behave according to SAAJ Node API
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
   Priority: Major
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: Axis
 Components:
             Basic Architecture
   Versions:
             current (nightly)

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Ian P. Springer

    Created: Thu, 26 Aug 2004 9:01 AM
    Updated: Thu, 14 Oct 2004 4:39 PM
Environment: n/a

Description:
impl of SAAJ setValue() in NodeImpl does not handle the following cases properly:

- called on Node with no children
- called on Node with more than one child

also, setValue() should be overridden in MessageElement to sync up objectValue to the new Node value when it's possible to do so.
