[jira] [Commented] (CRYPTO-66) Warnings compiling on MacOSX - bootstrap class path not set

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CRYPTO-66?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15325830#comment-15325830 ]

Sebb commented on CRYPTO-66:
----------------------------

It's not clear why the Java classes are compiled by the Makefile.
They are also compiled by the pom, but the class files end up in a different directory.
This could be fixed separately.

> The following appears in the build output:
> [exec] "$JAVA_HOME/bin/javac" -source 1.6 -target 1.6 -d target/jni-classes -sourcepath src/main/java src/main/java/org/apache/commons/crypto/random/OpensslCryptoRandomNative.java
> [exec] warning: [options] bootstrap class path not set in conjunction with -source 1.6
> This can be fixed by adding something like the following to Makefile:
> $(JAVAC) $(BOOT) -source 1.6 ...
> where
> BOOT_LIB:=$(JAVA_HOME)/jre/lib/rt.jar
> BOOT:=-bootclasspath $(BOOT_LIB)
> The BOOT variables should probably be defined in Makefile.common
