Fwd: ApacheCon North America 2018 schedule announced

I’m attending this year and giving a talk.

Who else is attending this year?
if many go we can have an OpenWhisk BoF

Good opportunity to discuss topics face to face, and of course bring them
back to dev list :-)

Dear Apache Committer,

We are pleased to announce our schedule for ApacheCon North America
2018. We want you there. To that end, we are offering you, our
committers, a deep discount on tickets.

ApacheCon will be held September 23-27 at the Montreal Marriott Chateau
Champlain in Montreal, Canada, and features more than 100 sessions on
our various projects. You can now see the schedule live at
http://apachecon.com/acna18/

This year, in addition to keynoters Bridget Kromhout, Principal Cloud
Developer Advocate from Microsoft[1] and Euan McLeod, ‎VP VIPER at
‎Comcast[2], we are excited to have two of our own, Cliff Schmidt from
Amplio[3] and Myrle Krantz with the Apache Fineract project[4], speaking
about how work we do here at Apache has changed the world.

HOW TO REGISTER USING THE ASF COMMITTER DISCOUNT

Register for the event using this link:
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/apachecon-north-america-2018-registration-43200327342?discount=APACHE2018
- or use the ‘APACHE2018’ code when you follow the link from the
ApacheCon site, you’ll get the special committer rate of $150. (This
goes up to $250 at the door.) I’m sure I don’t have to tell you this,
but the committer rate is ONLY for committers, and we’re trusting you
not to share it.

Please help us spread the word. Follow us on Twitter at @ApacheCon, and
amplify our message there. Spread the word to your developer and user
communities. Put the event ad on your websites [5]. Talk about it on
mailing lists outside of Apache. Mention it to your local meetup groups.

You are our most effective way to promote this event. We are counting on
you.

If you would like be more involved in the event, please come join us on
the discuss@apachecon.com where we’ll soon be posting information about
what we need from volunteers. And if your company wants to sponsor this
event, get in touch at help@apachecon.com for opportunities that are
still available.

But, first, go register! And we’ll see you in Montreal!

I'll be at ApacheCon as well, giving a talk on Thursday. I'll have a
busy schedule, not sure if I'll be able to attend a BoF but interested
in principle!
