Building and optional.jar

Hi,

I'm looking at the build instructions at:
http://jakarta.apache.org/poi/howtobuild.html

I am confused about optional.jar.  Where is that from?  What does it
consist of?  Perhaps the build page should describe this.

I am attempting to build with Ant 1.6.0.
