[jira] Created: (CASSANDRA-2204) JMX agent for easier monitoring through firewall

JMX agent for easier monitoring through firewall
------------------------------------------------

                 Key: CASSANDRA-2204
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-2204
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Improvement
            Reporter: Marcus Better

It would be useful to have something like Tomcat's JmxRemoteLifecycleListener, which enables JMX monitoring through firewalls by using configurable fixed port numbers for the RMI connection.
