[jira] [Commented] (MAPREDUCE-4654) TestDistCp is @ignored

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-4654?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13455055#comment-13455055 ]

Marcelo Vanzin commented on MAPREDUCE-4654:
-------------------------------------------

I took another look at the code and it does look like TestDistCp is just redundant.

Basic functionality is tested at a more fine-grained level:
* TestCopyMapper to test file mapping (see that both classes have an identical createSourceData() method)
* Test(UniformSize|Dynamic)InputFormat to test input splitting
* TestCopyCommitter to test deletion, atomicity, etc
* TestIntegration to test DistCp end-to-end.

> We should fix TestDistCp so that it actually runs, rather than being ignored.
