In class org.apache.commons.io.output.ByteArrayOutputStream the write(byte[] b,
int off, int len) has the following check:

        if ((off < 0) 
                || (off > b.length) 
                || (len < 0) 
                || ((off + len) > b.length) 
                || ((off + len) < 0)) {

The last condition "(off + len) < 0)" seems to be redundant.
