Jean-Baptiste Onofré commented on KARAF-941:
--------------------------------------------
It sounds good. I think that we will need to enhance some Pax * project to leverage p2 abilitie, and the Karaf features service to support Eclipse feature.xml.
The Kar deployer/service should also be enhance to be able to lookup jar file containing Eclipse feature.xml file).
> Support Eclipse p2 repositories, feature.xml, .target platforms.

> Unless I'm mistaken Karaf would turn instantly into a powerhouse if it could leverage Eclipse' p2 abilities. Specifying a p2 repository and handing Karaf an Eclipse feature.xml file (or the URL to a jar with a feature.xml in it) and/or a .target file would make for amazing deployment integration.
