Today, writing a client in a new language (e.g. Go, Ruby, etc) is difficult be the client/server protocol is now well documented and optimized for super-low latency over maintainability.  The goal of this this epic is to write a new client/server protocol that is well documented that will be the foundation for future Geode client.

This epic is broken down in the sub-tasks below.

Please vote on this wish if you think it is a worthwhile endeavor.

Note: no design choices are being made just yet. The first sub-task in this epic is to make a former proposal to the developer list to discuss foundational design choices.
