Differences between Word documents

Hi,
I am setting up a repository 'Documents' where documentation of certain
products is added.
Now, I want to be able to perform a good difference between different
versions of for example Word Documents. Which difference tool should I use?

For Word documents the only tool known to me is... Word itself. Its a  
binay file and you need Word to merge two word files. But it's not as  
horrible as it sounds :).

For text files you can choose from a whole range of merge/diff tools, I  
prefer WinMerge as I need several regex'ed lines to be excluded...
