I would like to see an email from Ivan and Arthur to this list
confirming that they are in fact reading the translations. I trust
Ilia, but we should try to be consistent about this.

Joshua.

Attachments avoid charset and linebreak confusions (what I meant with
"transport errors"...)

from my side base64 and qp are ok, but please take care to label them
with text/plain anyway. (the most simple way is probably to add the
extension "txt").

To exclude "transport errors" it would be better you send them as mail
attachments.

If you wanna modify existing files, change it in your local repository
and type then:

cvs diff -u filename

the output of this command is the best way to review the changes and
easy to commit. If you send a diff, it's better to attach it to your
mail, too.

So, you want to say that I can send my messages not as plain text? I mean
that they can be encoded in some way (Base64, qt-printable...)?

About reviewers - OK. I will inform them tomorrow.

Thanks. I've committed the ru.xml and the manual.ru.xsl.

some hints again ;-):

I don't know about the current status of the discussion about reviewing
standards...

My Russian is about 10 years old, I'm able to read it and sometimes to
understand ;-)

Although it looks fine for me, I actually can't say anything about
quality. However, I'm +1 for accepting the russian translations more or
less "as is" from Ilia and his reviewers. What do other people think
about?
