Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JAMES-291
Summary: Add generalised MailStore support to IMAP2
Type: New Feature
Status: Unassigned
Priority: Major
Project: James
Components:
IMAPServer
Versions:
3.0
Assignee:
Reporter: Adam Fowler
Created: Fri, 21 May 2004 1:15 AM
Updated: Fri, 21 May 2004 1:15 AM
Description:
The IMAP2 proposal currently uses a hardcoded InMemoryStore.
We need to use IMAP2's ImapStore interface to create a DefaultImapStore that wraps MailStore implementations. We also need to ensure that the ImapStore can be set via configuration. Also we need to ensure the MailStore that the DefaultImapStore uses is configurable in james-config.xml.
This will give us a highly configurable IMAP server that can re-use current MailStore implementations, thus reducing the code base.
