Snappy for 0.90.4

Hi,

Is it right that there is no official release supporting Snappy yet? In 
my case I'd like to use it with 0.90.4 but HBASE-3691 [1] is for 0.92.0 
only.

Yea, we backported it in CDH3u1 - feel free to steal our patch -
they're Apache licensed and found in the tarballs at
http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh/3 under the cloudera/patches/
directory.

Yep.
