compile-abc-64.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows

I just upgradee to the 14.1.1 from 13.0 and selected Apache Flex 14.1.1 FP
17.0 AIR 17.0 en_US for my default SDK. When I try to run the project in FB
4.6, I get the following error:

This version of
AdobeFlexSDK\4.14.1\lib\aot\bin\compile-abc\compile-abc-64.exe is not
compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's
system information and then contact the software publisher. Compilation
failed while executing : compile-abc

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a 32 bit computer. Does this mean I can no
longer use this 32 bit box or is there something else I can do to make this
work?

compile-abc-64.exe error in 4.14.0, 4.14.1, but not 4.13

Posted by Velocedge <ve...@hotmail.com>.
I just installed Flash Builder 4.7 with Apache 14.1.1. I can now run
programs in the debugger (couldn't with FB 4.6) but when I try to do a
release build, it processes for a few minutes, and then I get the same error
as before:

"This version of
AdobeFlexSDK\4.14.1\lib\aot\bin\compile-abc\compile-abc-64.exe is not
compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's
system information and then contact the software publisher."

I get the error with 4.14.0 too but not 4.13. So, it seems something's
changed in the Apache Flex SDK that confuses the Flash Builder build
process. Any idea how I can fix?

Re: AW: compile-abc-64.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows

I would agree, appears to be using a 64 bit exe... but I'm running the
project out of FB 4.6 debugger. You'd think it would know it's a 32 bit
computer and select the appropriate programs to run the project in that
debug mode. That's why I'm wondering if 4.14.1 requires a 64 bit
development environment or something.

Has anyone run 14.1.1 on a 32 bit computer?

AW: compile-abc-64.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows

Well to me the "64.exe" suffix implies the exe to be a 64bit executable.
You can't execute 64bit executables on a 32bit Operating-System. So this is probably not a Flex, Air or Windows problem.
