[jira] [Created] (HBASE-16307) Metrics for overall replication
backlog length
Matt Mullins created HBASE-16307:
------------------------------------
Summary: Metrics for overall replication backlog length
Key: HBASE-16307
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-16307
Project: HBase
Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: Replication
Reporter: Matt Mullins
Assignee: Joseph
Priority: Minor
With Zookeeper storing replication information, we have been able to use the znode count as a stand-in for the volume of replication that has yet to occur. It would be nice to (a) maintain a similar metric with the new replication implementation, and possibly (b) improve upon that metric by making it an intentional indicator of replication.
