A port of AOO 4.1 has been released under the AppImageKit framework for Linux
Portable environment. Please test it and confirm its functionality under
different Linux distros.

Download the app from here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/portable/files/64bit/OpenOffice%204.1.0-64bit/download

To test it, just chmod +x the file, and execute it. The test could be done on
any linux distro including Arch, Slackware, Gentoo, deb or rpm-based distros.

This hasn't been release by this project.
You are of course free to test it, but submit bugs in their bug tracker, not
here.
