[users@httpd] Piped logging programs
I'm interested in writing a custom log filter (probably in perl initially)
and using the CustomLog piping facility. Are there any issues that I should
be aware of? What happens if the program being piped to fails?

There's a few articles here about it:

If the program being piped to fails I would imagine nothing would get
logged - pages should still be served ok though.
