[jira] Created: (INFRA-758) Create Cayenne Mailing Lists
Create Cayenne Mailing Lists
----------------------------
Key: INFRA-758
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-758
Project: Infrastructure
Type: Task
Reporter: Bill Dudney
The Cayenne team would like to get its mailing lists setup up;
cayenne-dev@incubator.apache.org
cayenne-use@incubator.apache.org
cayenne-scm@incubator.apache.org
All of these lists should be available for unmoderated subscription by the public, require moderator acceptance for posts from non-subscribed addresses, and be archived according to standard policies. Initial moderator should be me (bdudney@apache.org), although we'd also like to have Andrus Adamchik added as well as soon as his apache account is created.
We'd also like
cayenne-ppmc@incubator.apache.org
This list should follow standard opperating procedure for ppmc lists (I think that means private, not archived but we want it to just be 'normal' so what ever is typical set up for this one).
I have the initial list of subscribers for each list but I thought I'd just email it to someone to avoid the addresses being publicly exposed for email address crawlers. If attaching the plain text files to list JIRA issue won't comprimise them I'm fine with attaching them.
This thread has the vote from DB PMC;
http://www.mail-archive.com/general%40incubator.apache.org/msg07609.html
And this thread is the initial discussion on general@incubator;
http://www.mail-archive.com/general@incubator.apache.org/msg07567.html
The official proposal can be found here;

for the user list.
