> There was an initial proof of concept in 2015 for the Ruby implementation of single object encoding ([PR #43|https://github.com/apache/avro/pull/43]), which I believe took place even before the [single object encoding spec|https://avro.apache.org/docs/current/spec.html#single_object_encoding_spec] was finalized to CRC-64-AVRO. That PR seems about 90% of the way there. To finish it up, I _think_ that it mainly requires:
