[Bug 4591] New: spamd -L does not work - still trys to access DNS

http://bugzilla.spamassassin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4591

Summary: spamd -L does not work - still trys to access DNS
           Product: Spamassassin
           Version: 3.1.0
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P5
         Component: spamc/spamd
        AssignedTo: dev@spamassassin.apache.org
        ReportedBy: ml@newton.leun.net

spamd -L (or --local) does not work in 3.1.0, it still trys to access DNS.

In general, I would appreciate if it would be possible to use DNS when it is
really available but not to die if not.

I run spamassassin on my notebook and network is often not available when
booting but becomes available later. Would be nice if spamassassin could deal
with that.

FWIW: I just tried to reproduce this on my machine and see no DNS traffic while starting spamd, nor while
sending messages through.

Same problem here.
Will it be fixed in next release?
