[jira] [Commented] (INFRA-6307) add Avro to svngit2jira

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6307?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13666508#comment-13666508 ]

Daniel Gruno commented on INFRA-6307:
-------------------------------------

Should be all set up now - please try it out and report back whether it works or not, and I'll close the ticket if it does work.

I'm afraid we can't apply it retroactively on tickets (at least not yet), and yeah, even if we could, it would most likely either trigger a ban or take forever to complete.

For new commits, every single ticket mentioned should trigger an update in the JIRA ticket (thus, you can mention both AVRO-1234 and AVRO-4321 in the same ticket and have it update both)

> Can you please add Avro to svngit2jira?
> Avro's Jira is AVRO (issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO).
> Avro's sources are in SVN (https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/avro/).
> We used to have this enabled when Jira's built-in support was used and are still in the habit of including issue ids in commit messages in hopes that this feature would return. Thanks for reviving it! We'd like every commit added as a comment to all the issues mentioned in the commit message.
> Is there any way this can be applied retroactively for commits since the old feature was disabled? Or would that end up being a DOS attack on Jira?
