how can i use a absolute path (like
http://dataserver/data.xml ) in the pipeline?	

e.g. <map:generate src="http://dataserver/data.xml"/>

That's how you can reach external resource.

For resources which are residing in the same webapp, use:

<map:generate src="context://path/from/webapp/root/data.xml"/>
