regarding xalan xml-xsl to html parser

hello
i am trying to make xml based application to be browser independent ,
hence i am using your xalan parser .
while using the parser it says "successfully parsed", but unfortunately
even in converted html , xsl elements(such as <xsl:stylesheets>)are
still present .
i am unable to resolve this error , hence i am stuck.
please ,advise me on possible cause and it's remedy
