[jira] [Commented] (MAPREDUCE-279) Map-Reduce 2.0
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-279?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13047866#comment-13047866 ]
Arun C Murthy commented on MAPREDUCE-279:
-----------------------------------------
Tom, I don't understand the distinction between classic-impl and nextgen-impl...
Both 'classic' and 'nextgen' MR use the same 'runtime' i.e. MapTask,ReduceTask, shuffle etc. which is what is currently under 'mr-client'. I'm happy to brainstorm on a better name for it... how about 'mr-runtime'?
