Nathan, Now that 3.0.x has been out for such a long period, do you have a
problem with messages with illegal base-64 mime attachments breaking pop3
connections?

Given that the 3.0.x documentation indicates that this test (and a few similar
tests) were removed because they were "zero hitters" (I read that to mean not
hitting any emails in any corpus, or maybe not being at all useful in
differentiating spam from ham), it's hard to justify adding this rule back in,
so SA can do something other than flag spam.

You might consider adding your own plugin to SpamAssassin to identify this
situation. Since the code you'd need is pretty much still in EvalTests.pm, it
shouldn't be too hard if you can find someone who can code perl well enough.

Since nobody else has expressed interest in this functionality, through a
comment in this bug or any other, I'm closing as WONTFIX. This can be reopened
if someone comes up with a better justification.
