The Look and Feel option panel from Options | Appearance | Look and Feel only has popup with the name of some Look and Feel providers. It's assumed the user knows how those look like.

It would be nice to also include a preview there (an image, not an actual LnF change) so the user doesn't just toy with the thing needlessly.

Personally I would also remove CDE/Motif from that popup on most modern OS (macOS, Windows, Ubuntu). I really doubt anybody is using this look and feel except, say, on Solaris or some Unix machine with a non-Gnome/KDE window manager.
