Welcome to esme.apache.org !

Hi,

I'm pleased to announce that at today's meeting the board has voted
unanimously to graduate ESME to a top-level Apache project!

Dick will have the pleasure to lead ESME into the top-level project
transition ;-)

I haven't yet checked if
http://incubator.apache.org/guides/graduation.html#life-after-graduation
is full up to date, but the basic info should be there, and don't
hesitate to discuss things here as needed.

Dick, if you need any help with the "life-after-graduation" process,
please let me know (holiday coming up, so I have time to help out)
:-)

Well, this list is public ;-)

The ASF board minutes are only published once approved, which won't
happen before the next board meeting, but it is ok to share the good
news!

This is awesome :-D

I had never expected this when we started that discussion on Plurk 2,5
years ago.
Anyone around for a virtual celebration? ;)

It feels great to wake up to such exciting news :-)

So this means that we're done warming up, and the last "E" in ESME
truly doesn't stand for "Experiment" anymore!

Thanks to everyone involved- in the present or in the past!
