[jira] [Created] (BATIK-1283) Font-Rendering different to browser

Markus Nissl created BATIK-1283:
-----------------------------------

             Summary: Font-Rendering different to browser
                 Key: BATIK-1283
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BATIK-1283
             Project: Batik
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 1.12
            Reporter: Markus Nissl
         Attachments: Rendering_Browser.png, Test.java, svgtest.png, svgtest.svg

Rendering two elements next to each other looks different than on the browser.

Please find attached the screenshot of the browser rendering, the example SVG file with the script to convert to png and the output png. This is not an issue of the PNGTranscoder, since it also appears for other transcoders.

For testing the corresponding example the Raleway font has to be installed ([https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Raleway]).

I am not aware of any solutions to the problem, but for us this bug causes inexact renderings, when converting user-created svgs on the browser to other formats (e.g., image or pdf).

Sorry if this bug has already been reported, I have not found an issue regarding this problem.
