Time-line of stable release for Parquet
Hello,
I would like to know if there is a time-line which can help track the
stable release of Parquet.
We are in process of stabilising our data-store back-end and parquet plays
an important role in it and would like to know when a stable version of the
same can be expected.
The current version available on the Apache Github page is
parquet-1.6.0rc4, which appears to be a released candidate and released on
November 18th, 2014.
Hoping to read back from the dev. team soon. Thanks!

Other can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the plan is the follwing:
- 1.6 will be the first official apache incubator release, but still be
under the 'com.twitter' packaging
- 1.7 Will then be released with no functional change. Only the the
packages will be updated.

Hello Dan,
The link seems to have been updated in September and a RC release was made
in November 2014. There hasn't been an update made to the Jira thread since
then.
Also, can you confirm, will version 1.6 be the final stable release to be
released under Apache or its slated to be some other later version?
