Apologies for the noise

OK, I'm done with messing around with closing/opening issues. Tidying
things up isn't important enough to me continue pursuing.

Again, sorry for all the stupid messages I generated.

While I very much appreciate the effort (thank you Erick!), I don't
think Jira issues should be closed as "won't fix" just because they
are old.

A longstanding still-open issue is often still a valid issue; it's
just that nobody has made time/energy to fix it.

Of course, if the issue really IS won't fix (e.g., because someone
disagrees with fixing it), or is no longer relevant (e.g. because the
feature in question was removed or changed), or what not, then I do
think it should be closed. But old age alone is not a good reason to
close an issue...

No prob,

You've been doing a great job tidying up JIRA, and I sure appreciate such "boring" volunteering.
Things tend to be forgotten and rot over time, so "ping"-ing dormant issues with a proper status code after a brief intuition-based consideration is OK in my opinion.
Like the SPRING-cleaning we did. If anyone thinks an issue is closed in error, they can re-open and update it with new/more info so it is obvious that it is still something that should be dealt with.

Hi,

Wasn't sure if I should comment, given that I have somehow not yet managed
to contribute to Solr Dev. Sigh!

Nevertheless, this is nothing at all, and given that it was in pursuit of a
noble cause, there is no need to apologise.

Regards,
Gora
