DBpedia Spotlight Enhancement Engine for Apache Stanbol

Hi all

Starting with revision 1386604 [1] the DBpedia Spotlight Enhancement
Engines [2] are available in Apache Stanbol (trunk, SNAPSHOT). A big
thanks to Iavor Jelev for contributing the Engines and also Pablo
Mendes who was a great help while working on the Engines.

DBpedia Spotlight is a tool for automatically annotating mentions of
DBpedia resources in text.

The new "{stanbol-trunk}/enhancer/engines/dbpedia-spotlight" modules
provides four EnhancementEngines. First the "DBpedia Spotlight
Annotate Engine" that allows to use DBpedia Spotlight as Stanbol
Enhancement Engine. There is also an EnhancementChain with the name
"dbpedia-spotlight" added if the DBpedia Spotlight module is
installed. So users will be able to use DBpedia Spotlight under the
URL

    http://localhost:8080/enhancer/chain/dbpedia-spotlight

The remaining three Enhancement Engines allow to use specific parts of
DBpedia Spotlight in EnhancementChains:

* DBpedia Spotlight Spot Engine : creates fise:TextAnnotations for
mentions of Entities in the text (no candidate resource selection,
disambiguation or linking)
* DBpedia Spotlight Candidates Engine: creates fise:TextAnnotations
for mentions AND suggests DBpedia Entities (fise:EntityAnnotations)
for those (no disambiguation, rather it returns the top K ones).
* DBpedia Spotlight Disambiguation Engine: uses existing
fise:TextAnnotations of a Text to perform Disambiguation based on
mentions in Wikipedia and some other resources.
