Cant view XML using Cocoon

Hi all,
   I'm trying to run the sample files under the folder
tomcat/webapps/cocoon/samples/*.xml 
   I'm using the Tomcat as server. It is able to
generate the samples of JSP files. However, the cocoon
sample files with .xml extensions cant be view on the
browser (IE). The DOS prompt shows:

/samples/hello/hello-page
.xml + null) null

I've followed the procedure given to install the
cocoon. Can anyone figure out what is the problem
here?
