401 deploying snapshots

I'm trying to deploy 2.x snapshots and am getting a 401.

A few things have changed at repository.apache.org [1] but I'm pretty
sure I'm set up right. For example, I can login to Nexus [2] and I
have updated my settings.xml accordingly. It feels like a permissions
problem on the server end (and other projects have had the same) but
before I raise a JIRA with infra I just want to double check whether
other Tuscany committers are able to deploy snapshots. If not we might
as well try and get everyone fixed at the same time.

Regards

Simon

Hi All

Brian has just commented on our JIRA and requested that we create a
sub-task of https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-1896 in order
to get this done. However looking at 1896 there are more features that
we could take advantage of and a few hurdles to jump over. Can
everyone take a look there so we can discuss and agree precisely what
we want to ask for.

+1 for getting to the bottom of this... we might need to involve infra tough..

Until we find away around the manual deploy problem yes the only way
appears to be a Hudson build, and the Hudson build needs to be
successful one for the deploy to happen. I did get a successful Hudson
build through late yesterday so there should be snapshots published
from that.

Hi Luciano

Did you miss a reference off your mail.

It's maybe the case that I don't need to publish them as I note that
we did get a clean build after people's efforts over the weekend.
However we need to understand the process if we do want to publish
snapshots. Is it now the case that we need to kick off a Hudson build?

Please see this thread... I guess that we haven't been able to
manually deploy snapshots after we changed repositories. Having said
that, the Hudson builds are configured to deploy snapshots if build
completes successfully.
