Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Pekko (Core) 1.7.1-RC1
Posted by PJ Fanning <fa...@apache.org>.
Hi everyone,
This RC needs at least one more review from a Pekko PMC to allow it to released. If anyone has time to review it, it would be much appreciated. There is also a Pekko HTTP RC awaiting review.
These are security hardening releases.
In particular, it would be really useful if we could expand the number of Pekko PMC members who are willing to get involved with releases. If anyone is interested and would like some guidance on how to review the release candidates, feel free to contact me.
I've been playing around with Apache Magpie's AI skills to verify releases and they work pretty well and are a good time saver.
* https://magpie.apache.org/docs/release-management/readme/
In your AI CLI (eg Claude CLI), loaded in your local git copy of Pekko repo:
* /plugin install magpie-release-management@apache-magpie
* /magpie-release-management:verify-rc 1.4.0-RC1
You may need to interpret the results but it does not most of the checks for you.
Thanks,
PJ
