problem with xampp

I'm using subversion to develop a php application with a team. We each have
xampp running on our owindows machines. The subversion install prevents
apache from starting, which puts the following in the system event log:
The Apache service named reported the following error:
>>> apache.exe: Syntax error on line 142 of C:/Program
Files/xampp/apache/conf/httpd.conf: API module structure `dav_svn_module' in
file C:/Program Files/Subversion/bin/mod_dav_svn.so is garbled - perhaps
this is not an Apache module DSO?
This has happened more that once so I wanted to mention it somewhere.

Perhaps you've got apache 2.2 installed, instead of 2.0?

If so, look at the big highlighted yellow area of the 'windows'
section of the downloads page;
