+ The <xsl:text> element is failing to output any text
+ when your stylesheet explicitly sets the ouput method to "xml".
+ It works if you explicitly set the method to "html" or
+ do not have an <xsl:output > element and let the default apply.

+ Here's a simple stylesheet that will reproduce the probelm.
