JNLP not opening

I'm trying to figure out why Apache Tomcat 6.0 (JVM 1.6), appears to be
loaded within my virtual machine, however, I cannot access JNLP files
through the network by browsing; when trying to telnet to the virtual
machine, port 8080 appears to be closed from another machine and from the
virtual machine (guest running WinXP SP2 using MS Virtual PC
2007<http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/virtual-pc-2007.aspx>).
See attached files. The JNLP runs when browsing through local host within
the virtual machine (e.g. browsing to *
http://127.0.0.1:8080/webCalculator/WebStartCalculator.jnlp)*.

It's not possible to take screenshots from the virtual machine (IP
192.168.2.102), due to a problem with PC.

Hi.
This list strips most attachments, so it is better to copy and paste the content right
into the message.

Apart from that, may your problem be due just to the fact that the Windows firewall is on
in your VM, and blocks access to port 8080 of your Tomcat ?

If it is not that, then it may have to do with the kind of configuration you need to make,
so that the virtual machine can "share" the network interface of the physical machine in
which it is running.
But for that, this is not the appropriate forum, and you should ask on a Microsoft forum
instead. (not that we don't want to help, but there may be nobody here who knows how).

The general idea is :
The VM does not, by itself, have a physical network interface.
The physical network interface belongs to your physical workstation.
You probably need to do something so that the VM has access to the "real" network, through
the physical network interface of the physical machine hosting the VM.
In other environments, this is known as a "bridge" for example, but who knows how
Microsoft calls it.

Error message is attached, which is being generated from another machine
(192.168.2.100) which accesses the virtual machine.
