[jira] Created: (TOMAHAWK-1045) Would like to create Outlook-compatible *.ics file from Schedule entry

Would like to create Outlook-compatible *.ics file from Schedule entry
----------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: TOMAHAWK-1045
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-1045
             Project: MyFaces Tomahawk
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Schedule
            Reporter: Les Pall
            Priority: Minor

Often Schedule is used to share information with many users (for example publishing a 'Forward Schedule of Changes' for those in ITIL-land).
Some users like to select a particular entry that is shown in the Schedule, and download this as a "iCalendar" or "ics" file that can be saved to the users' Microsoft Outlook or compatible groupware application, so that they have a local reference to the event that appears in the Schedule.

I agree with Peter. You can fire an action when an entry is clicked. You should put the iCalendar stuff in this action.

This does not sound like something which the component should do, but rather the responsibility of the application using the component.
