bug in URI class
the URI class in package org.apache.xerces.utils does not parse
fragment-URIs; e.g. it rejects
"#xmlns(aida=http://www.iaik.at/aida)%20xpointer(./ancestor::aida:eDocument%
5b1%5d/child::aida:signedContent%5b1%5d/descendant-or-self::node())" which
is a valid URI.
as a result, you cannot parse a document that contains such an URI.
i hope someone can fix this soon.
regards
Karl Scheibelhofer

Could you please expand on how/where you use this fragment-URI and what
exact error you're seeing? If you're positive that it's a bug, please
submit your report to:

Thanks.
