query.fullsize() return the total + 1 items. why??

Hi all,
    I'm using query's with query.setStartAtIndex() and query.setEndAtIndex()
to perform a page to page iterator and query.fullSize() to recollect the
total number of items but allways in the last page the query.fullsize()
return +1 item. why?? any idea??
