1.2 C++ release

About 10 days ago Berin mentioned that he was preparing for a 1.2
release.  I'm curious how that's progressing.  (What I really want to
know, of course, is when it might be out.)

Trying to close out all the bug reports now for something in the next 
week or two (will need to do a vote on the list as well).

I really am sorry this has taken so long - work kind of hit me out of 
left field with a huge project.
