While you can change the product versions in [bigtop.bom|https://github.com/apache/bigtop/blob/master/bigtop.bom], building procedure and patches under [bigtop-packages/src|https://github.com/apache/bigtop/tree/master/bigtop-packages/src] are usually only applicable to specific versions.
